Run - Corre
I mentioned on Facebook my mid-year resolution to exercise more; the girls and I have been going to the track at their school and it has been fun.
On one of those mornings, I was about half a mile into my run when my daughter caught up to me and grabbed my hand asking me to stop. I said a quick “no,” but she persisted. “Why not?” she asked and my short answer was “Because I need to lose weight.”
Keeping up with me she yelled, “But you already look less fat.” I almost stopped out of laughter.
So there you have it people, two weeks of running are already having an effect on me…according to one person who loves me tons.
So, keep exercising, it is for a good cause and sometimes, for a good laugh.
El otro día mencioné en Facebook mi resolución de medio año de hacer más ejercicio. Las chicas y yo hemos ido a su escuela a correr por las mañanas y ha sido muy divertido.
Una de esas ocaciones iba yo a media milla cuando una de ellas me alcanza y tocando mi brazo me dice “para”. Yo le dije, “no porque necesito perder peso”. A lo cuál gritó, “pero si ya te ves menos gorda.” Casi paro de correr por la risa.
Entonces… vean lo rápido que ha hecho efecto mi nuevo hábito matutino, según mi amor chiquito.
En fin, hagan ejercicio porque es importante y a veces, te hace reír.
After a run, I highly recommend a fruit bowl: yogurt, granola, fruit of choice, walnuts or not, roasted coconut flakes and voilà. Enjoy.
Después de correr, les recomiendo un plato de fruta con yogurt, granola, frutas diversas, nueces o no, y poco de coco tostado. Disfruten.
